The Lackawanna County Library System is excited to announce a heartwarming initiative to support Families United Network in Scranton. As part of our commitment to community outreach, we invite you to participate in our special collection drive aimed at bringing comfort, warmth, and educational resources to families in need.
Community Collection Highlights:
1. New Blankets: Help us wrap families in warmth and love by donating new blankets. Your contribution will provide comfort during chilly nights and create a sense of security for those in our community facing difficult times.
2. New Stuffed Animals: Bring a smile to a child’s face with the gift of a new stuffed animal. These cuddly companions not only provide comfort but also serve as a source of joy and companionship for children in challenging circumstances.
3. Backpacks: Support students on their educational journey by donating new backpacks. These practical and essential items play a crucial role in ensuring that every child is equipped with the tools they need to succeed in school.
4. School Supplies: Help us fill backpacks with the tools of learning. Donate new school supplies such as notebooks, pens, pencils, and other essentials to empower students in our community to excel academically.
5. Coloring Supplies: Foster creativity and self-expression by contributing new coloring supplies. These simple yet impactful items can provide a therapeutic outlet for children, encouraging them to explore their imaginations and develop artistic skills.
