Jr. Battle of the Books

Registration is now open for our annual Jr. Battle of the Books competition! Test your book knowledge by participating in our county-wide reading event for students entering Grades 4-6. The Battle will take place on Thursday August 6 at the Latour Room at Marywood University. The Jr. Battle book list for 2015 includes Matilda by Roald Dahl, Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper, Death by Toilet Paper by Donna Gephart, Number the Stars by Lois Lowry, and The Boy Who Saved Baseball by John Ritter. Teams will be made up of 3-5 participants. The Abington Community Library Teen Leadership Committee will sponsor book discussions and reviews every Tuesday at the Abington Community Library beginning June 30 at 4:00 pm. Stop by the library to register for this exciting event, to sign up for the review sessions, and to check out the books from the list!
