January 12th- “Culture and Conflict: Thoreau, Great Britain and the Civil War” with Dr. Len Gougeon
February 9th- “Andersonville and Florence Prisons: The Ezra Hoyt Ripple Memoir” at the Hope Horn Gallery, Hyland Hall, University of Scranton
March 8th- Picket
April 12th- Civil War Baseball with Pete Stenzhorn, SCWRT member
May 10th- Major General George Henry Thomas with William Vosseler
June 14th- Civil War Era Customs- Patrick & Joann Dunigan
July 12th- Round Table Discussion- “The 1850’s”
August 9th- Round Table Discussion- “The Civil War in the Far West”
September 13th- TBD
October 11th- “1860 Presidential Election” with Tom Moran
November 8th- Book Discussion of American Scoundrel: the life of the notorious Civil War General Dan Sickles by Thomas Keneally

Meetings are at the Lackawanna Historical Society Catlin House, 232 Monroe Ave, Scranton at 7 pm

Hosted by the Lackawanna Historical Society and the Confederation of Union Generals (COUG), the Civil War Round Table is a monthly gathering of anyone interested in the Civil War 1861-1865 with featured speakers, book discussions, and round table conversations. The group meets monthly at the Lackawanna Historical Society’s headquarters, the Catlin House, 232 Monroe Avenue.
Yearly memberships help defray speakers costs, and are $20 for an individual and $25 for a family.
