Fun Hands-On Learning with Block Parties
January 25, 2016
The Abington Community Library has received materials from The Office of Commonwealth Libraries to implement a series of Block Parties for preschoolers. Block Parties offer opportunities for children to express themselves creatively, interact with new friends, and practice basic spatial skills.
In addition to a wide variety of wooden blocks, the library received figurines, animals, cars, and other props. Children ages 3-7 (along with their adults!) are invited to come to the first couple Block Parties this week. Be on the lookout for future Parties.
