PA One Book, Every Young Child 2016 … Kite Day! Sponsored by the Friends of the Scranton Public Library

Take part in Pennsylvania’s One Book, Every Young Child Early literacy initiative —An important statewide effort that encourages adults to share and talk about books and stories with children. This year’s book is Kite Day, a Bear and Mole Story by Will Hillenbrand.
Literacy games, activities, and a craft based on the story will be available for children, parents, and educators to enjoy. Each preschool child will receive a free Kite Day book thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Scranton Public Library who provided the books.
Thursday, April 14TH, 2016 at 1:00PM and 6PM (10 AM session is filled.)
Head Starts, Pre-Ks & Childcare Centers are invited to attend! Please call for details. Suggested for children ages 2-6 and their families.
