Help Keep the Tradition Alive

Getting to hear a bestselling novelist like Piper Kerman is one of the benefits of living in Lackawanna County. Since 2005, the Lackawanna County Library System has presented outstanding such speakers as author, journalist and film maker Sebastian Junger, author, actress, social critic and humorist Fran Lebowitz, theoretical physicist and futurist Michio Kaku, undersea explorer and Titanic discoverer Robert Ballard, historians David McCullough, Michael Beschloss and James McPherson, and athlete Emmitt Smith to name some who have been part of the Library Lecture Series.

You can help keep this tradition strong by joining the Library Lecture Society. Membership entitles you to advance notice of coming speakers, an invitation to pre-lecture receptions and an opportunity to meet the speaker.

Join online or contact Mary Garm, System Administrator via email (garm@albright.org) or call 570-348-3003.
