British Comedy “Antonia & Jane” Concludes “Funny Ladies Film Series” Wed., August 24th

Albright Memorial Library concludes its Funny Ladies Film Series with two screenings of the hilarious 1990 British comedy Antonia & Jane, starring Imelda Staunton and Saskia Reeves, on Wednesday, August 24th at 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM in the Community Room (basement of Lackawanna County Children’s Library).
Imelda Staunton (Professor Umbridge from the Harry Potter films) and Saskia Reeves star as two British women who are equally best friends and worst enemies. Unbeknownst to each other, they share the same shrink, to whom they vent their dread about their upcoming annual reunion dinner.
Antonia & Jane is rated R and is suggested for mature audiences.
Antonia & Jane will be screen twice on Wednesday, August 24th, at both 6 PM and 7:30 PM.
Refreshments will be provided by The Friends of Scranton Public Library.
All screenings in the Funny Ladies Film Series are free with your library card, but seating is limited and registration is strongly suggested.
