Crank Ensemble East The Crank Ensemble is a project of visual artists Larnie and Bodil Fox. They make and use hand-cranked instruments from inexpensive materials: plywood, coat-hangers, rubber bands, springs, bones, feathers and other found objects. The instruments function as stand-alone visual art as well as vehicles for performance. Audience members are invited to join in and to explore the sonic possibilities of the instruments.
