Information Literacy Begins @ the Library

Whether you have basic questions about how to use your computer or need to learn how to write code for career advancement, we’ve got you covered with “Computer Skills & Technology,” a new tab on the eResources page of our website.

For beginners, there is Computer Skills Center to help you get started with video courses that teach basic to intermediate skills. CyberSmarts teaches children how to avoid cyber bullying and online predators, and how to protect their privacy anywhere online including social networks and game sites. GCF LearnFree.org provides tutorials on computer skills and more. Code Academy provides free online coding classes, and the Khan Academy promises that “you can learn anything,” with offerings that range from elementary school math to advanced computer programming.

Have your library card handy because you will need it to use most of the resources at the Computer Skills & Technology.
