Albright Memorial Library Expects to Reopen in Early March
January 29, 2018
The Albright Memorial Library building expects to reopen in early March. At this time, we do not have a specific date as contractors continue work to complete the renovations.
While most of the renovations have been completed, our new circulation desk is being installed in sections. The rest of the old flooring pictured below has been renovated with new flooring.
The last piece of the renovations to come in include new treads for the stairs leading up to the reference department. Parts of the original wood on the stairs have been restained to match the stain in the lobby area.
We have also taken this time to weed our book, CD, and DVD collections so we can have more room for the new items that come in. This will mean a better selection of new materials that you can find quickly when you enter the library!
Until we open, library services will continue next door at the Lackawanna County Children’s Library.
