May 4, 2018
A new 4H club will soon be starting at the Carbondale Public Library. On Tuesday, May 15th @ 6 PM families can come to the library for an information session, to sign up, and ask questions. Children and teens between the ages of 5 and 18 are invited to check it out. Participants will be able to look at the various projects being offered, and choose one that interest them. Everyone can do a different project realted to their interest.
What is 4H?
4H is a youth development program, and in Pennsylvania is managed by the Penn State Cooperative Extension offices. Children and teens across America have the opportunity to learn leadership, citizenship, and life skills by participating in projects they choose. Topics range from science and technology to art to citizenship and civic eduation and much more!
Screened adult volunteers assist and guide 4H members in a variety of projects and participate in leadership activities.
This is a fun and educational opportunity. We hope to see you here!
