Shark Week at The Carbondale Public Library

Shark Week comes to the Carbondale Public Library. We will be featuring shark activities for all ages throughout the week. Stop by for Shark Fun!
All week:
- Have your picture taken in our shark’s mouth!
- Facebook Contest-win the Jaws Movie Collection DVD this will be a Like & Share contest to get more Facebook followers.
Tuesday, July 30th
- 3:30 PM: Movie: 47 Meters (PG13)
- 3 PM – 7 PM: Make and Take Shark Puppet (seen above)
- 6 PM – 7 PM: Carbondale Rocks – Rescheduled from last week, rock painting will concentrate on sharks and other sea life.
Wednesday, July 31st
- 7 PM-7:45 PM: Fin Games – After Kids Club (Grades 3-6), stay and participate or come just for fun shark-inspired games like Shark Ring Toss, Feed the Shark, Pin the Fin on the Shark, Shark Attack! (Like Hot Potato, only with teeth!) and Shark Bite, Shark BINGO and Shark Dentist. Prizes and refreshments! Open to kids preschool to grade 6 and their families.
Thursday, August 1st, 11 AM
- Toddler and Preschool Freeplay and Storytime – Shark and Fish Theme
Friday, August 2nd
- 11 AM: Ready Set Read – Ocean Creatures Theme
- 12 PM – 1 PM: Color Me Calm – Shark pictures to color at your leisure. Coloring materials will be provided.
