Virtual Author Reading with Tara Marta

The Scranton Public Library will be hosting a free virtual author reading with local writer Tara Marta on Tuesday, July 14 at 7:00 pm. Tara will be reading excerpts from her newly published first book Look Back to Yesterday. A Q&A will follow. This event will be held through Zoom. To RSVP, email jserrenti@albright.org. Book Synopsis: Rebecca is a 33-year-old woman looking for yesterday. Alone after the death of her father and break up with her live-in boyfriend John, Rebecca clings to memories of her childhood in Brooklyn. Before losing her mother when she was nine, her world seemed safe and secure. Rebecca decides to return to Brooklyn after 25 years. She falls asleep on the subway and wakes up to find herself in 1980, where she comes face to face with not only her parents and family, but her childhood self. In an attempt to alter the past and save her mother from an untimely death, Rebecca learns that the only person she can save is herself.
About the Author: Tara Lynn Marta is a fiction and nonfiction writer. Her work has been published both online and in print. In 2014, Tara was the recipient of the Academic Excellence Award for Outstanding Achievement in Creative Writing.
