Be A “Rockin’ Reader” With Pete The Cat
January 7, 2015
Winter Reading Program for Kids
Hey, Kids, get ready to “rock your read shoes” and make reading your favorite indoor winter pastime. Visit any Lackawanna County library to sign up and check out books that you want to read. Then keep coming back to the Library for more.
“Pete the Cat,” the children’s storybook feline who likes to be cool, is the mascot of the Winter Reading Program. His books, including “I Love My White Shoes,” and “Rockin In My School Shoes,” are available at Lackawanna County libraries.
Parents can get involved, too, by reading to younger children. The program is open to all kids, from birth to 12 years of age.
Signups begin on Monday, January 12 and the program runs through the end of February.
