“A Street Cat Named Bob” Movie To Screen Thursday, April 20th at 6:30 PM

Scranton Public Library will be hosting a special screening of the 2016 film A Street Cat Named Bob on Thursday, April 20th at 6:30 PM. The film will be shown in the Community Room, located in the basement of the Lackawanna County Children’s Library. The screening is handicapped accessible.
Based on the international bestselling book, A Street Cat Named Bob tells the true story of James Bowen, a street musician and recovering drug addict in London, whose life is transformed when he met a stray ginger cat he names Bob (who plays himself).
The film contains mild language and drug use, and it is appropriate for patrons 13 years of age and over.
The film’s running time is 1 hr and 40 minutes.
The screening is free with a pet food/supply donation to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter.
Refreshments will be generously provided by the Friends of Scranton Public Library.
