A Walk at the Library

A Walk at the Library

June 23, 2016

Take a walk at the Albright Memorial Library and you’ll find their new landscape with blooming Daylilies and a flowering tree. A year ago, the library’s grounds were dug up to install rain barrels as part of the library’s rain reclamation project. This project helps conserve and keep rainwater out of our sewers.

But today, the library’s new landscape includes the building’s first flag, donated by Congressman Cartwright, and flag pole donated by the Friends of the Scranton Public Library. Surrounding the flag is a small garden.

Take a virtual tour of the library’s rain reclamation project and new grounds through the photos below. You can also find more photos on the Scranton Public Library’s Flickr page.
