April is National Poetry Month
April 10, 2017
April is National Poetry Month and what better way to discover new poets than with the Lackawanna Valley Digital Archive and the Friends of the Scranton Public Library Poetry Series.
The Friends of the Scranton Public Library Poetry Series Collection contains streaming video of over 50 readings by nationally renowned poets such as W.S. Merwin, Gary Snyder, Robert Bly, and Lawrence Ferlinghetti. These poets visited the Scranton from the late 1970’s through the 1990’s and were filmed as part of the Friends of the Scranton Public Library Poetry Series. The collection also includes posters.
