Country Music Film by Ken Burns Preview Screening

Johnny Cash. George Jones. Garth Brooks. Keith Urban. Emmylou Harris. All of these stars are creators of the uniquely American art form called county music. Starting September 15 on PBS, Ken Burns’ 16-hour documentary Country Music explores the history of this vibrant music telling the stories of the legendary characters who shaped it; Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Charley Pride, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and many more.
Join VIA Public Media for a special free preview screening, Thursday, August 29 at 6 PM at the Albright Memorial Library in Scranton. A discussion will follow the film and VIA will give away prizes.
