Fire Safety @ Your Library
October 19, 2015
Did you know that if a fire starts in your home, you may have just two minutes to escape?
According to the American Red Cross’s website, the most effective way to protect yourself and your home from fire is to identify and remove fire hazards. 60 percent of house fire deaths occur in homes with no working smoke alarms. During a home fire, working smoke alarms and a fire escape plan that has been practiced regularly can save lives.
Members of the Clarks Summit Fire Company will be at the library for a special visit on Wednesday, October 28 at 4PM. Families are invited to learn about fire safety together and check out the fire truck! Check out some great books from the library about fire trucks, fire safety, firefighters, and more.
