“Great Ladies” Classic Film Series Mondays in August

Beginning Monday, August 3rd, Albright Memorial Library will be presenting a weekly classic film series dedicated to the Great Ladies of the Golden Age of Hollywood. This series of four classic films — starring legendary actresses Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, Barbara Stanwyck, and Bette Davis in the greatest film roles of their careers — will be shown in the Community Room, located in the basement of the Lackawanna County Children’s Library.
Monday, August 3rd at 6:30 PM – CAMILLE (1936) starring Greta Garbo
Monday, August 10th at 6:30 PM – MILDRED PIERCE (1945) starring Joan Crawford
Monday, August 17th at 6:30 PM – STELLA DALLAS (1937) starring Barbara Stanwyck
Monday, August 24th at 6:30 PM – NOW, VOYAGER (1942) starring Bette Davis
The Great Ladies film series is being sponsored by The Friends of Scranton Public Library, who are also generously providing refreshments.
All films are free with your Lackawanna County Library Card; however, seating is limited and registration is strongly suggested.
