“Her Final Film” Classic Movie Series Wednesdays in August at Scranton Public Library

Scranton Public Library will be hosting a free Summer movie series Wednesdays in August at 7 PM. Titled “Her Final Film,” the movie series will highlight the final film appearances of legendary actresses Judy Garland, Barbara Stanwyck, Jean Harlow, Joan Crawford, and Greta Garbo.
The free film screenings will be held in the Lecture Hall, on the 2nd floor of Albright Memorial Library.
The scheduled films are:
Wednesday, August 1st at 7 PM – I Could Go On Singing (1963) the final film of Judy Garland
Wednesday, August 8th at 7 PM – The Night Walker (1964) the final film of Barbara Stanwyck
Wednesday, August 15th at 7 PM – Saratoga (1937) the final film of Jean Harlow
Wednesday, August 22th at 7 PM – Trog (1970) the final film of Joan Crawford
Wednesday, August 29th at 7 PM – Two-Faced Woman (1941) the final film of Greta Garbo
Classic cartoons will proceed the screen of each film starting at 6:30 PM.
Free refreshments (popcorn, soft drinks, and candy) will be provided by the generosity of The Friends of Scranton Public Library.
All films for free with a Lackawanna County Library System Library card, but reservations are required.
