Kids Programs to Continue at Carbondale
February 15, 2019
The Carbondale Public library will continue to hold Children’s Programs during its renovations. All programs will be held downstairs in either our temporary Children’s Area or in the back of the library.
Kids Programs:
Freeplay & Storytime
Thursdays / 11 AM – 12:15 PM
Enjoy playtime and storytime with your children and new friends. Let your children unwind with their peers, while working on early learning skills (shhh they don’t know they are learning). For infants to preschool, however, siblings are welcome.
Little Explorers
Tuesdays / 11 AM (February 19th & 26th)
Where kids learn through play. Together we will investigate a theme, like winter/ice or shadows, through stories, and hands on activities. For ages 3-5.
Note: Make-up sessions will be added to the calendar depending on how well-attended the remaining sessions are.
Kids Club
2nd Wednesdays (Upcoming March 13 & April 10th)
Each month several stations will be available for children to explore, including a science experiment and an art project, plus more. For ages 8-12.
We hope to continue with both Builder’s and Builder’s Junior when renovations are complete.
In addition, teens should keep a look out for information on the next Teen Reading Lounge. We hope to start a new session in March or April.
