On Friday, July 25th, friends and family of the late Nancy Kay Holmes gathered in her namesake library for a very special celebration. This year is the 75th anniversary of Nancy Kay Holmes’ birth, as well as the 100th anniversary of the Library. The event started at 3:30PM with a birthday-themed story time for the children. Miss Amber read stories about various birthday adventures with some of our favorite storybook characters. We then made a birthday bear craft. At 4:00, our Director, Mr. Jack Finnerty spoke about the late Nancy Kay Holmes. We had special guest visits from Mayor Courtright and County Commissioner, Patrick O’Malley. Family members also shared stories of her life. We ended our celebration with birthday cake and all kinds of goodies!
Thanks to everyone who helped to make this gathering such a success!
