Rockin’ Winter Reading Club in Full Swing

Over 110 kids are registered for Winter Reading Club at the Abington Community Library. Throughout the months of January and February, these kids are reading (or being read to!) and keeping track of these books. Our official “mascot” for Winter Reading is Pete the Cat, and during Family Storytime on January 23 we read some of those great books created by James Dean. Check out some of the red shoes (Pete the Cat loves his shoes!) in the children’s library that represent our readers.
Don’t forget, the last day of Winter Reading Club is February 27. After that date, kids may bring in their book logs to receive a certificate and prizes. And sign up today to attend the Winter Reading Club Carnival on Saturday, February 28, from 3-4PM. Play games, eat ice cream, and have your picture taken with Olaf from Frozen and characters from Beauty and the Beast from the Abington Heights High School production!
