Scranton Reads Kicks off October 3rd!
September 1, 2015
Every year the Scranton Reads Committee selects a piece of literature with the hopes that everyone in Scranton and the surrounding communities joins them in reading and discussing the selected work. This year the committee has selected J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye.
The events calendar kicks off on Saturday, October 3rd at 2 pm with a Banned Books Read Aloud at the Albright Memorial Library. Join them as they read excerpts from The Catcher in the Rye and other beloved books that have been banned or challenged. Bring your favorite banned book to join in on the readings. Light refreshments will be served.
