Snoopy, the world-famous beagle has been known as The Flying Ace, The Masked Marvel, Man’s Best Friend, and the Literary Ace, among other personas. ;. In September, he’s especially proud to serve as Honorary Chair of Library Card Sign-up Month.
A library card from the Lackawanna County Library is one of the most valuable things you can carry. It opens the doors to a vast collection of books, magazines, audio books, films, CDs, lectures and programs for children, tweens, teens and adults.
It also provides access to a world of research, eBooks, audiobooks, tutorials, news and information at our virtual library: www.lclshome.org.
The fact that you’re on our website means that you probably already have a library card. If you know someone who doesn’t, make like Snoopy and encourage them to get one. They’re free at any Lackawanna County library or on our website.
Look for Snoopy this fall on the big screen in “The Peanuts Movie” from 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios.
