Summer Reading Club at the Nancy Kay Holmes Library

Hi Everyone,

Summer Reading Club is in full swing at the Nancy Kay Holmes Library! If you haven’t visited us lately, stop by to register for reading club and be eligible for some great prizes. This year we are raffling off prize baskets every other week. You can enter to win a prize by earning a raffle ticket for every 5 items you check out this summer. Thanks to the Friends of the Scranton Public Library, we have grand raffle prizes including Lea Clark: An American Girl and a Star Wars LEGO Building set. These will be raffled off at the end of the summer.

This year when you sign up for reading club, you will receive a score card. Your score card will help you keep track of how many minutes you are reading each day. After 4 weeks, you will return your score card for a new one and get a fabulous prize packet including these items:

An invitation to our ending event, a DJ party sponsored by the Friends of the Scranton Public Library! We’ll have EJ the DJ, face painting, and ice cream at this event on August 17th from 4PM-6PM
Free tokens at Chuck E. Cheese
A free ticket to a SWB Railriders Baseball game
A free kids Italian ice at Rita’s in Dunmore
A free game of bowling at Idle Hour Lanes
A free kids meal at Friendly’s in Dunmore
A free kids meal at Texas Roadhouse
Free bread sticks at Domino’s Pizza
A free Happy Meal at McDonald’s
A free cookie from Lynn Sandy’s Bake Shop
A free kids meal at Perkins

Then, after 4 more weeks, you’ll be eligible for even more great prizes! We also have a weekly guessing jar that might win you an extra prize.
